The Center for Guaranteed Income Research (CGIR) was established in 2020 to develop a common body of knowledge on unconditional cash-transfers. We provide mixed-methods expertise in designing and executing empirical guaranteed income studies that work alongside the existing safety net.

Guaranteed income is a recurring unconditional monthly cash transfer typically provided to individuals and families who have low incomes or are navigating life transitions like becoming a caregiver, enrolling in higher education, or transitioning from foster care.
